Aluminium is the obvious choice for commercial installations, owing to its sleek and modern appearance and thermal efficiency. However, aluminium is becoming more and more popular among homeowners, due to its benefits compared to uPVC doors. Convert to aluminium and get more customers by promoting aluminium’s great benefits…
Slim sightlines
Aluminium frames produce slim and elegant windows, leading to more glass area and better views. Aluminium creates traditional style windows, ideal for replacing old steel windows when fitted direct into stone mullions on period properties.
Colour
Aluminium offers a wider colour choice than uPVC. Aluminium can be easily sprayed any one of the 250 or so standard RAL and British standard paint finishes. Single colour profiles or dual colour are readily available, as are silver anodised and metallic finishes.
Strong and durable
Aluminium is a very durable material, highly resistant to corrosion caused by modern industrial pollutants and requires little long term maintenance. It is also stronger than uPVC, so aluminium bifolds will not require additional reinforcement.
Recyclable
Aluminium is arguably the most sustainable building material in the world and is highly recyclable. The recycling process creates high quality aluminium which loses none of its physical properties of primary aluminium and also uses just 5% of the energy it takes to produce the first time round.
Thermal properties
Our main door and window systems are all available with a thermal break in the aluminium profiles. This polyamide thermal break achieves significantly improved thermal insulation and complies with the building regulations Part L with considerably reduced U values.
Security
Our door and window systems can accommodate state-of-the-art shoot bolt and multipoint locking systems without compromising the slim sightlines of aluminium profiles.
